Who runs this site

Adarsha Pangeni runs adarshapangeni.com.np as a personal journal rooted in Nepal. For privacy questions or requests relating to information you have shared, use the email details on the contact page.

Reading the journal

You can read articles without a reader account. This site currently has no public comments, email newsletter signup, shop or contact form. Following the RSS feed does not subscribe your email address; your chosen feed reader handles your subscription.

Optional Google Analytics

Google Analytics helps explain which pages people read and how they find the journal. The site loads its Analytics script only after you choose Allow analytics. Choosing No thanks lets you continue reading without enabling this optional measurement.

When enabled, Analytics may process page visits, browser and device information, approximate location and cookie-based identifiers. The site's page-view reporting omits URL query strings and sends only the referring website's origin. It does not intentionally send the content of messages you email. Google Signals and advertising personalization are disabled in the site's configuration.

Google processes Analytics information on its infrastructure, which may be outside your country. Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services and Google’s privacy policy.

Cookies and browser storage

The journal stores your analytics choice in your browser's local storage so it can remember that choice. If you allow Analytics, Google may set cookies whose names begin with _ga. Cookie lifetimes and Analytics data retention depend on the service and account settings; this policy does not promise a fixed retention period.

Select Privacy preferences on a public page to change your choice. Choosing No thanks stops further Analytics reporting from the site and attempts to remove its accessible _ga cookies. It does not automatically erase information already processed by Google. You can also clear this site's cookies and storage through your browser settings; doing so resets the saved choice.

Hosting and security

Vercel hosts the site. Delivering pages and protecting the service can involve processing technical request information, such as IP addresses, requested URLs, browser information and timestamps. This necessary traffic processing is separate from optional Google Analytics. See Vercel’s privacy notice for information about the provider.

If you contact me

The contact page opens your chosen email service; it does not submit a form to this website. If you send an email, your address, message and any attachments are processed by your email provider and the Gmail service used for this journal's mailbox. They are used to read and respond to your message. Avoid sending sensitive personal information that is unnecessary for your question.

Messages may remain in the mailbox and its backups until removed. If you want a message corrected or deleted, contact me from the address you used and identify the message. Requests will be reviewed in light of applicable obligations and the capabilities of the service. Google's privacy policy also explains its email services.

Your choices and requests

You can decline optional analytics, change your browser preferences, read through RSS, or contact me with questions about information you have provided. Depending on where you live, applicable law may give you rights to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of personal information. Please explain your request through the contact page; identity may need to be verified before information is disclosed or changed.

Links to external sources, email services and feed readers lead to services with their own privacy practices. Review their policies when you use them.
